International Rescue Committee – A trauma-informed approach in education
Crisis and conflict have direct and profound effects on children’s physical safety, well-being and ability to learn. This two-part workshop series will explore the causes, consequences and ways to support refugee students (at the individual and organisational level) to cope and overcome trauma and toxic stress and to thrive in their new school.
Sessions are led by an IRC education specialist who has over 20 years of experience supporting refugee and EAL students in the English education system.
Sessions will take place on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th May, 4:00-5:30pm.
