Teacher Recruitment Toolkit and Support for Schools
Resources for School Leaders
What is this Toolkit for?
We want to support schools with teacher recruitment by supporting effective communication, supporting collaborative partnerships and by driving engagement with teacher training and ongoing professional development, across our hub area.
As part of our strategic role to support all teacher training across Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stafford, Staffordshire Moorlands and Stoke-on-Trent, we have collaborated with Teaching School Hubs and schools across the West Midlands to develop a bank of resources to support schools with the recruitment of new staff and retention of existing colleagues.
We believe that teacher training is vital to sustainable recruitment.
In any case, these resources have been designed for use by schools to support their recruitment of staff at all levels.
We hope they are helpful and support your school.
Recruitment and Retention Audit Tool
We want to help you and your school attract and retain the best possible teachers, and to maximise the resources in your school.
With that in mind, we have developed an online audit tool for all schools to use for free.
The audit tool makes suggestions about which actions might be higher priority for your school and guides you to the most relevant areas of the toolkit.
We strongly recommend that schools complete the audit as a first step, to ensure you get the most out of this toolkit. All schools who complete the audit qualify for access to fully editable, customizable versions of all the resources in the toolkit.
