Overview of Apprenticeships – Information for Employers
On this page you will find information for employers interested in using apprenticeships to develop their workforce. We are sharing here information generated from our December 2024 day conference which explored the potential of apprenticeships to help develop our workforces.

- Di Swift, Chair of SSTEC, and a member of the Level 6 Teacher Trailblazer Group and Co-Chair with Andy Ogden of the Level 5 Specialist Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Group shared how apprenticeships offer the opportunity for evidence informed practices through a progression model. - Dr Nic Crossley, CEO of Liberty Academy Trust, National SEN representative for ASCL shared their workforce progression model.
- Dr Jan Hetherington from Aspirational Academy Trust shared their workforce progression model.
- The University of Staffordshire is one of only eight providers in the country to be awarded the Maths Pilot for the Teacher Degree Apprenticeship Route. This presents a fantastic local opportunity, and we hope that you will be able to contribute.
